Riverview Park and Zoo Staff Team
Our diverse team is made up of a marine biologist, a horticulture expert, registered veterinary technicians, an engineering technologist, as well as biology and conservation specialists and enthusiasts. Each individual is extremely important in connecting our visitors to nature every day.
Animal welfare, safety and public education are our staff's primary concerns. The staff at Riverview Park and Zoo take pride in their facility and work hard to provide the highest quality of animal care, educational programming and facility maintenance. Doing so ensures that visitors can learn about the natural world in a safe and entertaining way.

A small dedicated team of 11 full time professionals operate the park and zoo 365 days a year with support from part-time student zoo keepers and public educators. Job opportunities at Riverview Park and Zoo are posted as they become available, so check back frequently.
Summer Students
During our busy summer season, Riverview Park and Zoo employs over twenty students to help around the facility. This includes helping run the miniature train, education programs, guest services, horticulture, park and animal maintenance, as well as animal care. Current and returning post-secondary students must be available to work from May through to Labour Day, hold a valid G drivers' license, and be fully enrolled in post-secondary studies the following semester. Volunteers
An essential part of our team, volunteers helps to run our Zoo Crew parent tot programs, sit on our committees and advisories, act as education ambassadors who run touch-tables and the seasonal exhibit, and help to host special and signature events that bring the community together. We have over 50 dedicated volunteers who ensure we run a world class facility.
