Your support
When you adopt an animal at the Park and Zoo, your adoption fees help with specialized animal care, nutrition programs, added enrichment and training, veterinary health care, research and conservation.
Adoptions make great gifts
Consider making an adoption in a loved one's name for their birthday or give an adoption as a holiday gift! Your donation package recipient will get a quality photo of your animal, an adoption certificate, a fact sheet and a letter of thanks from the Manager and Curator.
Class projects and team building
Animal adoptions are a great way for families, schools, classes, community groups and workplaces to build team spirit and get involved in local wildlife conservation. You can adopt an animal under a class name, company name, or even just a group name!
Recognition
Your annual animal adoption is recognized for the year on our electronic adoption board found inside the main entrance gates of Riverview Park and Zoo. Tax receipts are provided for each adoption.

Instructions
- STEP 1: After selecting your animal, you will be asked to complete a membership form containing YOUR personal information. Please double check that this information is correct as it will be used to provide your income tax receipt(s).
- STEP 2: On the second screen, please note the following items for clarification:
Day (mm/dd/yyyy) - provide a date here if you would like the adoption to take effect on a LATER date (ie. a birthday)
Mailing Address - provide a complete mailing address here if we are to mail the adoption package somewhere DIFFERENT than your address entered on the previous screen. If it is the same and to be sent to you, simply enter Same.
- STEP 3: On the final screen, you will be asked to enter your credit card information for payment. Upon placing your order, you will receive an email confirmation that contains your transaction receipt.
